Driving Directions to Redpoint Climbing Centre
From M6 and A38(M) Aston Expressway
Get off at Junction 6, take the A38M (Aston Expressway) towards Birmingham. 2nd exit off A38M is a roundabout and junction with Ring Rd A4540, turn Right onto Ring Rd. (Matalan building is on corner of roundabout) Next set of traffic lights, junction with A34, go straight on to the traffic lights by the Texaco garage, turn left onto Summer Lane, then take the 4th left onto New Summer st. We are in front of you at the bottom of this rd.
From Ring Rd A4540 (clockwise)
Turn Right at junction of Ring Rd and Summer Lane (Texaco garage), then take the 4th left onto New Summer st. We are in front of you at the bottom of this rd.
From Ring Rd A4540 (anti-clockwise)
Turn Left at traffic lights, junction of Ring Rd and Summer Lane (Texaco garage), then take the 4th left onto New Summer st. We are in front of you at the bottom of this rd..
From A34 (Walsall Rd)
Follow A34 to junction of Ring Rd and Summer Lane (Texaco garage), turn left then take the 4th left onto New Summer st. We are in front of you at the bottom of this rd.
From A38 South (Bristol Rd)
Follow A38 through underpasses to the Fire Station flyover, junction of A38 and A34. Don’t go over the flyover, go underneath to roundabout, turn Left onto A34. After road narrows, go over the humpback bridge, continue to the main lights at the ring road and turn left. At the junction of the ring road and Summer Lane (Texaco Garage) turn left then take the 4th left onto New Summer st. We are in front of you at the bottom of this rd.
Parking
Evenings and weekends there is ample free parking on-street right outside the centre and there are very cheap pay and display car parks opposite Redpoint.
During weekday daytimes the free parking on-street may be limited but there are many cheap pay and display car parks in the area.
For school minibuses we can often organise a space for you.
Directions to Redpoint from the Train Stations
Walking from New St Station. (About 10 mins)
Exit from platforms via Stephenson street entrance.
Turn right onto Stephenson street.
Follow the road round as it bends left then go straight on.
You will now be at the end of Corportaion St, follow directions below.
Walking from From Moor St Station. (About 10 mins)
Exit the station and cross the road.
Walk down the right hand side of Marks and Spencer. (Carrs Lane)
Dogleg right then left onto Bull St.
Turn Right onto Corporation St and follow directions below.
Walking from from Snow Hill Station. (About 10 mins)
Exit the Station and do a U turn to the Left.
Walk down Snow Hill Queensway.
Cross the dual carriageway.
You will see St Chad's Cathedral on the right.
Go to the Cathedral and walk down the left-hand side of it (Shadwell St)
Turn 1st Left. (Lower Loveday St)
Turn 1st Right. (Cliveland St)
Turn 1st Left. (Hanley St)
Turn 1st Right. (Cecil St)
Redpoint is 100 yds on the Right.
Walking Directions From Corporation Street (About 10 mins)
Walk down Corporation St with Rackhams on your left.
Staight on over the pedestrianised island by Tesco.
Walk past the old Magistrates Courts to the Childrens' Hospital. (Flyover above roundabout ahead)
Go down the underpass and turn right into the pedestrianised area under the flyover.
Take the first left exit back out of the pedestrianised area and take the rightward steps onto Lanchaster St.
Walk along Lancaster St, go over the humpback bridge.
Cecil St is next Left and Redpoint is the 2nd building on the left.

Hover over Cecil St, abseil to the pavement, tether the helicopter and leave the engine running. (Please ensure you have enough fuel)
