Novice Adult Boulderer

If you've never bouldered before you'll need to do a Bouldering Induction before you can register to boulder at Redpoint Birmingham. Once you've done the induction you can come and use the bouldering areas at Redpoint Birmingham anytime we are open.

Experienced Adult Boulderer

If you are a competent boulderer with plenty of recent indoor bouldering experience then you don't need to do an induction. Our staff will ask you a few questions to make sure they are happy with your climbing experience and you will just need to fill out a registration form and you can boulder anytime we are open.

Experienced adult members can sign in and supervise a maximum of two novices - adults or children.

Under 18 Bouldering

Novice Under 18 bouldering

Junior membership of Redpoint Birmingham is available for teenagers 14-17 years old. This means that they can climb without adult supervision.

16 - 17 Year olds

Complete a pre booked induction
Under 18 unsupervised bouldering form completed including a parental consent section

14- 15 year olds

Complete a pre booked induction
Parent / Legal guardian should attend the induction
Under 18 unsupervised bouldering form completed including a parental consent section

Under 14 year olds

Can only use the bouldering areas with supervision by an over member of Redpoint Birmingham Climbing Centre

Permission for an under 18 to boulder unsupervised is at the discretion of the management and dependent on the outcome of the induction. Redpoint climbing centre reserves the right to withdraw permission at anytime.

Experienced under 18 boulderers

Experienced under 18 boulderers will need to complete an assessment before they can climb unsupervised. Please call us on 0121 359 1777 to arrange thi swith us.
We will need a parent or legal guardian to fill out the registration form - and to be at the assessment in person if the child is under 16.
