As one of the West Midlands most experienced providers of indoor climbing for schools, we have a wealth of experience providing GCSE climbing sessions, with schools travelling from as far afield as Sheffield to complete the climbing module of their GCSE PE with us.
Whether you use EDEXCEL, AQA, OCR or another examination board we can provide training for your pupils to meet the specific criteria.
We will provide you with a course structure including lesson plans, risk assessments and insurance certificate.
Our friendly Redpoint instructors are fully qualified, have CRB/DBS checks and follow our comprehensive Child & Vulnerable Adult Safeguarding policy.
The Instructors will train and assess participants and also provide an assessment report at the end of each course to validate the marks awarded.
Also if the syllabus requires a trip to an outdoor climbing area, Redpoint is the only AALA licensed climbing centre in the West Midlands. External trips do require an extra cost which can be discussed in person and is dependent of numbers.
Excellent Instruction GCSE preparation
Excellent Instruction given for GCSE preparation for my son. His technique improved quickly and all staff went the extra mile to help him succeed. He got an excellent grade in his recent GCSE assessment. Thank you Redpoint Birmingham
Everything we hoped it would be
I just wanted to drop you a quick message to say a massive thank you for our 2 day GCSE course last week.
It was everything we hope it would be. The knowledge and delivery from your instructors was brilliant – please pass on our thanks.
All the boys thoroughly enjoyed the 2 days and learnt loads! I think some of them even surprised themselves at how much they enjoyed it. You have definitely created new interest in climbing amongst our pupils.
Redpoint Climbing Scheme (RCS)
Redpoint Climbing Scheme RCS)
In addition to the GCSE syllabus many of our school groups decide to take part in the Redpoint Climbing Scheme (RCS).
Participants who register for the RCS scheme will receive their own RCS logbook.
This gives the children a recognised award that they can continue with after their school sessions.
This is at an additional cost of £8.00 for level 1-4 and £8.00 for level 5 -7.
